ATHLETE

My name is Francene, but I go by fRAN. I'm a wife, 43 year-old athletic mother of 3, Assistant track coach, photographer, Product Reviewer and Marathoner!

I am so happy to be back to running after around 24 years. I returned to the running world on December 21, 2011. I was motivated to get back to running when I was told I was being inducted into the Lorain County Sports Track & Cross Country Hall of Fame and also inspired my my own kids and track/cross-country kids on the team I help assist coach. I love to inspire, motivate, encourage and support those who love to run :)

I am a Shubeez Affiliate and you can check out the website at www.shubeez.com which are unique shoe tags that you can get in 13.1, 26.2, breast cancer ribbon and you can also design your own. I'm an assistant track coach. 1:50 Half Marathoner (2012), 24:01 5Ker (2012). Currently training for my first marathon scheduled for March 3, 2013! I'm also a photographer and have a facebook page at Fran's Photography.

I have run several 5K's since my return to running, 4-half marathons, 1-5 miler, 1-25K, some virtual runs and most recently, a full marathon! I have won all of the events in my age group with exception of two of the events listed.

I love running and enjoy hearing about others running experiences. I love when non-runners were inspired because they enjoy hearing about how much I enjoy it even though they inspire me to start something new in their lives.

SOME HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY

Francene ran sprints and cross country in high school and earned a chance to travel abroad to China to compete in a 13K race (1:22) with the Chinese along with 369 other top cross-country runners from the U.S.

"Francene was inducted into the Lorain County 3rd Annual Track Hall of Fame. She earned state titles (five) more than any Lorain County girl from 1989-2003 & remains No. 2 on the county's all-time list behind Elyria's 2012 Olympic Gold medalist, Tianna Madison ( nine)"-Paul Hayse
